Set consisting of a tunic (A) and trousers (B) bought from the Beit Lechem Women's Union. The tunic of the set has wide three quarter length sleeves, a round neckline and is fastened at the center back with a zipper. On either side of the zipper, the selvedge of the fabric is visible with the name of the fabric producer woven in - 'Original English Terylene & Wool'. The front of the tunic is decorated with cross stitch embroidery, stitched in a traditional Bedouin and Palestinian technique. The motifs are given a lightly more modern edge by being embroidered in a more abstract style than the traditional form. The base colour used is brown, with touches of red, blue, green, yellow and orange also used. At both side seams, a narrow triangular panel is added, filled with embroidered motifs. Above the sleeve hem, a small rectangular area is embroidered. The trousers have a wide cut and are fastened at the center front with a zipper. The cuffs of the trousers are encircled in traditional Bedouin embroidery.
