Sleeveless top made from a black polyester and featuring a tie at the waist. The fitted top is fastened with a zipper at the waist at the right hand seam. At the each side seam, a long black sash is sewn in, made from the same fabric as the dress. The back of the top is linger than the front to allow for easier tucking in to the skirt or trousers being worn. At the front of she shirt, the neckline is embellished with a wide bib, embroidered in abstract silver and gold shapes interspersed with floral and leaf motifs embroidered in silver and green. At front waist of the top, two silver and green rows are embroidered with floral motifs in silver embroidered between them. The armholes are edged in looped lines in silver thread with a row of open chain stitch in green at the armhole opening. The back of the shirt features a deep 'V' which is fastened at the rear of the neck with a small black button, This shirt appears to have been designed and made at Esther Zeitz's atelier.
