Black maxi evening dress made from numerous different fabrics. The bodice of the dress is made from bands of black lace sewn onto a backing of nude coloured organza. The shoulders and sleeves are crafted from a delicate black sheer netting and edged at the high round neckline and cuffs with a band of black satin. The fitted sleeves and neckline are fastened with a single satin covered button. Separating the bodice and the skirt, a narrow satin band encircles the waist and hided the joining of these two pieces. The skirt of the dress is made from three layers of black chiffon, gathered at the waist to add volume. The dress is fastened at the center back with a black zipper ending at the top of the lace portion of the bodice. A hook and eye at the top of the zipper ensures a secure closure. A grosgrain ribbon belt is sewn at the waist to the inside of the bodice to ensure a secure fit - this is fastened with two hook and eye closures. The store label is stitched to the inside of the bodice on the right hand side of the zipper.
