Black leather Ferragamo Vera pumps. The Vera style was first introduced in 1978 by Salvatore's daughter Fiamma (who took over the business in 1960). The shoe was revolutionary at the time with it's mid hight heel at a time when high-heels were much more common. The Vera has remained in production and its popularity has continued to this day. This example is from the 90s and still contains all the traditional features of the Vera - small block heel, grosgrain ribbon folded in a bow and fastened with a metal buckle with Ferragamo's signature engraved on it. The brand label is stamped in gold on the insole of the shoe.
