Jacket from look 1 for the Kobi Halperin Spring/Summer 2025 collection, shown as part of New York Fashion Week. The jacket is made from a soft denim and hand dyed with indigo in an ombre effect - darker at the bottom of the jacket and lightening towards the top. The jacket is collarless with a round high neckline. A patch pocket with pocket flap is placed at each side of the central opening at the upper chest. The jacket is fastened with 5 metal buttons bearing the brand logo (two 'K's placed back to back and designed to look like upward flying wings). The store label is stitched to the inside of the jacket below the neckline at the back of the jacket. At the hem of the jacket, hand dyed indigo ostrich feathers are sewn. The long long sleeves are fitted and fastened with a single metal button at the cuff. Attached to the inside of the cuff, a second wide double layer cuff is sewn in a style mirroring the brim of the traditional Israeli 'tembel' hat. Indigo dyed ostrich feathers are sewn to the edge of this double cuff creating a wide statement sleeve. This additional cuff and feathers are a later addition to the design seen on the catwalk, added to the jacket for the model Coco Rocha who wore the piece to the CFDA 2024 fashion awards. The show itself was influenced by Halperin's visit to the Rothko Chapel in Houston, Texas. The show also focused on themes of healing and water. The colours were muted and predominantly neutral and white with hand dyed indigo used at the start of the show and to dye part of the runway itself. The show took place with no speakers playing music, instead the music was played through white headphones given to all the audience members, allowing them to shut out all external noise and focus on the show. At the close of the show, a technical issue meant the closing song 'Imagine' was not played and the models walked out to silence, an error which created a vibrant and strong moment, closing out the show on a high. Discarding his usual black uniform, Halperin joined the models for his bow in a white ensemble, blending with the white and neutrals sent down the runway for the finale.
