1950s dress made from a silk satin and woven in shades of blues and purples with an abstract floral pattern and woven to give an ikat look to the fabric. The dress has short sleeves crafted from the bodice with no arm seam. The front of the fitted bodice is made from a triangular piece which extends into the arms and ends in a point at the waist. The skirt of the dress is full and is gathered in pleats of various sizes at the waist. Stitched to the center of the waist line, a small bow is placed, made from the same fabric as the dress. At the center back, a zipper is placed to fasten the dress, with a hook and eye closure at it's top. The dress is lined in a stiff blue organza. The skirt is finished with an extremely wide hem to allow the length of the dress be tailored to the wearer.
