Set consisting of a shirt and dress made from a light blue jersey. This set belonged to the American actress Lauren Bacall (1924 - 2014) before it was donated to FIT and then to Shenkar. The shirt of the set (A) has a straight long cut with two small pockets juat above the low hem of the shirt. The sleeves are long and fitted, and the shirt fastens at the center back with a row of covered buttons. The shirt is lined at the top with a light blue silk. The dress of the set (B) is intended to be worn under the shirt and give the appearance of a shirt and skirt set. The top of the dress is made from a light blue silk. This is then attached at the waist to the skirt of the set which is made from the same fabric as the shirt and cut in a straight line and intended to end above the knee. The dress is fastened with a zipper at the center back and is also lined in the light blue silk. Both the shirt and the skirt have extremely wide hem allowances, a characteristic typical of Norell designs.
