Strong pink woolen coat designed by the British heritage brand Aquascutum for Harrods. The fabric of the coat is woven such as to create diagonal lines along the surface of the garment. The coat has a classic 60s 'A' line shape and a simple collar (no lapels) with a stitched line around its circumference to create a border. The coat is closed with a row of 6 pink plastic large domed buttons while at the neck a popper is added to reinforce the closure of the coat. On either side of the coats opening are two pocket flaps one above the other, only the lower flap however actually conceals a pocket, the other is for purely decorative purposes. Both flaps are secured with buttons identical to those which fasten the coat. The sleeves of the coat each have a piped seam (of the same fabric as the coat) running down the outer side of the sleeve. At the centre back of the coat, three deep seams are sewn into the fabric to create a decorative effect. The coat is lined with a pink polyester fabric. On the inside neckline a large tag is sewn on which is embroidered information about the origins of the coat in black and yellow thread: "By appointment to H.M. Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, Makers of Weatherproof Garments, Aquascutum, Tailored for, Harrods LTD. London".
