The dress is made from an aubergine coloured textured fabric, is lined in black organza, and has an aubergine coloured silk satin lining. The dress is in a straight shift style reaching the knees. Two princess lines extend down the front of the dress. The front and back of the dress feature deeply scooped necklines. A sheer purple chiffon is stitched to the neckline of the dress. Below this the neckline is embellished with black sequins in the shape of flowers, looped strings of black beads and purple sequins in a hoop shape. These are all stitched to a narrow black background used to stabilise and hold the embellishment. The dress is fastened with a zipper at the left hand side.
